Coolant leak, and rant
So the other day I thought I smelled coolant but couldnt find the leak.
Went and bought a fancy timer to turn the block heater on each morning a few hours before I leave and whatnot. Plug in the truck and the breaker trips......ok I have some other stuff running and the block heater pulls quite a bit of power....use another plug associated with a different circuit.....POP! damn ok..... get under the truck thinking the cord has gone bad so I get my multimeter and pull the cord from the heater and coolant starts dripping on my friggin forehead!!! OK no big deal right? call around here and no one has it, they want $56 for just the heater and $77 for the cord!!! WTF!! Finally the Chevy dealership in Swansboro opens up and they dont have it either, BUT the woman tells me a dealership in western NC has it and she gives me their number. Thank you! Call them, they have it in stock and will ship it to me for $46, it gets here the next day...the dealer didnt have the cord but it would be $42 shipped from them, so what gives, I not only saved $ but 7 days of my truck being down..... WTF!! I am about tired of the "Jacksonville mark-up" on  everything!!
