Suspension?

For those of you out there with GM's what lift/leveling kits are you guys running? Are you happy with them etc...? And for those of you doing 1/4mile stuff what are you running HD tie rods or sleeves?

I know you can put a 1500 cam on a 2500 and it raises it and then some blockes in the rear. I used ford cams in my 1500 years ago before all these kits started coming out.

i occasionally do the 1/4 mile. My truck isn't lifted at all and its actually lowered in the front so that my cv's and tierods are level. If your drag racing and launching in 4wheel you REALLY need to have it level on the front. As far as the rear i'm about to get 2" drop shackles. Front i have sleeves and may get a center link to keep from /\ with the front on launch. l l is much better. Sleeves are fine though. roughcountry has them for 35 bucks. Cheapest i've found.

I have a '00 Z71 1/2 ton and got some take-off suspension parts from a '04 2500HD (torsion bar keys, torsion bars, blocks, leafs) from eBay. Made a huge difference in looks and lift. Had 33x12.5's but have since went down to 245/75/16 M/T's to get my torque back for towing. Funny thing is just after i lifted it, I forgot to adjust the headlights and the 18 wheelers were cussing me over the CB. I want to get the 8-lug axles and front hubs to further strengthen my towing machine.

If you don't mind using used OE parts try, car-part.com. It is a search of junkyards from here to tim-buck-too. Might be able to find some 3500HD stuff lying around.

Bilstein 5100 series shocks, way better than stock! 3" body lift, cant remember who makes it though. But the shocks made a big difference!

And with keys/blocks you can fit 315's on a 2500 duramax. My coworker did it with some trimming.

This is a pretty good site for suspension parts and other goodies for 4x4's.
