Boxed vs. Tubular Lower Control Arms

Is there a functional difference between boxed and tube lcas? I'm looking to get new ones to combat some pretty vicious wheel hop. As far as I can tell, poly/poly is good for strip, and poly/rod is good for cornering but makes a harsher ride. But I don't know what the difference (besides the shape) is between boxed and tube. If any.

Weight and strength. A round arm will be lighter, and stronger.

^ I always heard a round arm is lighter but a square arm was stronger? but cant go wrong with either over the stockers.

Cool. Thanks guys. I think I'm going to go with the UMI poly/roto setup. Anyone have experience with it?

Go with tubalar adjustables because there will come a time when the adjustability will come in handy and they dont make an adjustable boxed style LCA

Damn, I already bought those UMI poly/roto. Non adjustables though. PHB and torque arm in the near future. First I want to fix the drivers side window motor. Anyone want to help tomorrow? Ha!

Lower Control Arm Relocation Brakets Worth Every FREAKING PENNY! Lowered or Stock, they open the suspension geometry.

I have a UMI TQ Arm Relocation, the shorter one that replaces the flimsy cross brace, get the UMI 3pt subframes and some longer bolts/nuts to tie it all together... I swear by this set up, my SS is stiffer than a 13 year old Amish kid at Hooters! UMI makes a good product at a great price.
