I'd much rather put a Locker in the rear than a spool for street driving.

I wasn't a big fan of driving on the street with a spool

I drive my spooled 9 inch everyday w. 4.56 gears, its all in what u can put up with, but going from a true trac to a spool was a big difference, i love the spool, feels more solid and definently seems to keep my car more straight, all i can say is, when pulling into a parking lot slow, the key is to stay in the gas and it wont jerk as bad.....BTW, give Scott @ driveline solutions a call, best price and he personally sets up the gears to spec, 6500k launches and been beatin it non-stop for 3-4 years, still dead quiet

Don't you have bigger problems to worry about like wheel hop?

I drive my car everyday with a spool for the last 2 years. If you drive a lot, you will go through tires quickly. But honestly, unless you plan on pushing more than 600rwhp I'd go with a Tru trac diff. They hold enough power, and are pretty street friendly. People go with spools not only because they're cheaper, but because they can hold much more power than a posi/locker type differential. If you plan on some H/C/I and maybe some spray, stick with a posi. If you have a secondary car that you will DD, then I'd go for the spool.
