The 4 cylinder ones are easy to swap head gaskets on.

I've helped my brother swap a head gasket on his old Spirit.

You could always try some Blue Devil. I used it on a truck that was brought in one day. The guy said to give it a shot. It had a miss and puffing white smoke. Used that stuff and he drove away. No miss or smoke. Dont know how long it lasted but it did work.
