Eh, supposed to and have to are different things. I've never seen anyone get booted from Coastal because of no roll bar. I will only be going to other tracks maybe 2-3 times a year for GTO events. Once they start pulling me, then I'll think about that. I think Joe got pulled at PITP last year because of his traps, not ET, so I might be able to get away with it.

Coastal does not care. I have been in alot faster than 13.49 for my convertible and never had a problem.

I say go with the shot or meth. They have a DIY kit you could do for about 200 but i am going to go with a Alky control kit.

coastal doesn't even do a tech inspection, if you can drive and hand them a $20, they'll put a number on your car

I know several people that got booted for running too fast and no cage.

I am not to familiar with the kits they have but the control kit does sound like the best idea. Rick's kit looked very nice and he could control at what RPM the shot hit etc. Also it will require a retune because methanol has a lower stoich value which in turn will cause your car to run richer.

It will not bother stoich but will enrich your PE. The kit only comes on in boost which methanol will add fuel so you have to adjust or your AFR will be rich.
