Well I found out on Wendsday that I have orders to Oki!!!! Which isnt bad, just bad timing. This is why:

1. I have to report in no later than 31 Aug and my wife is due in Sept so she cant travel.
2. I am submitting an ECP package and the board wont convene until Oct, so if I get accepted Ill have to pack up and go to oki and turn around and come back a month later!!!
3. After two yeaers of building the car, Ill have to sell it or store it!!!

I talked to the monitor to see if she would push back the orders at least until Oct to see the results before moving and she said no! Oh well I have had it pretty good until now, I guess I was a little over due.

Sounds like bad luck, I am in a similar spot. Found out I have orders to cali. not that bad, orders are for 1-2 months before I pin on the next rank. Big jump in bah there. Still not that bad. I have to sell my house. Barley maybe going to brake even. Still I can live with that. The kicker Is I had some very bad luck with my car. Thats the kicker right there. have to spend a big chuck of change to fix it, and well I am going to fix it right so even more money, so I feel for you. Hope everything turns out well.

i might be joining you end of the year on the rock according to mine. i guess 10+ deployments and 4+ trips to iraq isn't good enough to stay state side until i retire. so i'm feeling you alls pain.
