My car is just sitting. It's supposed to be getting the caged and tubbed I guess.

No rearend huh? With a 6 speed you're asking for it to shit out. But I guess if you stay of sticky tires and a sticky track you'll be fine.

It all depends on how much you're willing to spend.
You'll need Heads and a Cam.
TrickFlow or ported Ls6 heads will do the trick. Also, Patroit and PRCs are afordable. I had little 5.3L (706 cast) heads on mine. A decent set of complete new heads will run you anywhere between $1100-1500. Plus you'll need some ARP head bolts, and cometic gaskets. 250 or so.

And good custom cam would be nice. Vengeance has some great N/A cams, and so dose TSP. Cam kit is needed. Looking at about $700-$800 for that.

Get a ported LS6 oil pump for about 130.
A better clutch will help too. 450-800
Keep your 3.42 gears IMO.
Pro 5.0 shifter. 170
Pacesetter LTs and catback w/ good header bolts. 850-1100
Maybe an LS2 timing chain. 60.00
ASP UDP. 210.00
And a good tune. 350.00

FYI. If I remember, you had some milage racked up on that motor. I would atleast do some rod bolts if you don't plan on doing a rotating assembly in the near future.

Thanks for the advice Matt. Gonna do it to it when I back. Super solid advice, def gonna stay off the sticky for a bit. My motors at about 80 thousand so just to be safe I will do rod bolts. Chug, gotta show both rides love man. Ones for beatin on and ones for looking good in.
