Drum brakes SUCK!!!

Just finished putting rear brakes (shoes and drums) on my 1998 F150.
I had forgotten how much of a pain in the ass these are to do!

Disc brakes for the win!
Drum brakes for the lose!!

Yes they do suck! My truck mentioned above has 2 springs the hold the shoes on. The main on is in the shape of a horseshoe and trust me it took about 2 hours and alot of cursing to get them on right..

When I had my Taurus I changes the drums to discs. I ended up buying a set if pliers specifically for those gay ass springs

Yeah they switched to drums for the 1500's in '07. Kensil is right, the springs they use are a bitch. Good thing is that they make a tool for the horseshoe spring. Saw it on the tool truck, but didnt grab it. I think I will next time.
